PAKISTAN: CIVILIZATION OF THE INDUS VALLEY

The 15-day tour of South Pakistan begins in Karachi, where you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. During your stay in Karachi, you will visit the Mausoleum of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, as well as the National Museum of Pakistan and the Saddar Bazaar & Zainab Market.
From Karachi, you will drive to Hyderabad, stopping en route at Thatta, the medieval capital of Sindh. Here, you will visit the 17th-century Grand Mosque of Shah Jahan and the Historical Monuments at Makli, including the tombs of Jam Nizamuddin, Isa Khan Tarkhan, Jan Baba, and Diwan Shurfa Khan. You will also visit the centuries-old tombs at Chokondhi.
Continuing on, you will drive to Larkana to visit the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar and the famous archaeological site of Mohenjo-Daro. Here, you will tour the great bath, the granary, the College Square and Pillared Hall, private homes, and the Mohenjo-Daro Museum. You will also visit the Kot Deji archaeological site and the Shrine of Shah Abdul Latif Bhattai before heading to the Hindu shrine near the town of Sukkur.
From there, you will head to Bahawalpur for a full-day tour of the Cholistan desert and Derawar Fort. You will also visit the town of Uch Sharif and the famous library of the Abbasi family.
Next, you will drive to Multan, stopping en route at a factory that produces the famous blue pottery of Multan. In Multan, you will visit the tombs of Sheik Baha-ud-din Zakariya and Shah Rukn-e-Alam, as well as the Hussain Agahi Bazaar.
Continuing on to Lahore, you will stop at the Harappa archaeological site and museum before visiting the Wazir Khan Mosque, the Shahi Hammam (Royal Bath), and the 17th-century Badshahi Mosque. You will also visit Lahore Fort, the Samadhi of Ranjit Singh, and the Gurdwara Dera Sahib temple.
In Lahore, you will also visit the Lahore Museum, Pakistan’s largest museum, and the Shalimar Gardens before heading to the flag-lowering ceremony at the Wagah border.
Finally, you will drive to Islamabad, stopping en route to visit the Hindu temple at Kitas village. In Islamabad, you will visit the Taxila Museum, famous for its finest examples of Gandharan sculptures and art, as well as the Raja Bazaar of Rawalpindi. You will also have a free morning at leisure before heading for a city tour, including a visit to the Heritage Museum, and driving through government buildings, including the Supreme Court of Pakistan, the Prime Minister’s House, the Parliament Building, and the Presidential Palace until you arrive at the Faisal Mosque. From there, you will depart on your outbound flight to your next destination.
